γγ In past years, we were informed by some customers that they have needs in anti-explosion when using the solvents like methanol, ethanol and toluene. Therefore, safety during the centrifuge operation has become the top priority when it comes to selecting the machine model.
γγ
The factors causing explosion are: temperature, ignition and oxygen.
γγ
Temperature: To any one particular medium, no matter liquid or vapor, when it is designed for the processing techniques, it should take account of the temperature. Because it is related to the techniques, it will not be discussed here in details.
γγ
When it comes to ignition, it should keep enough spaces for the mobile components when designing the centrifuges in order to eliminate the friction and collision that are probably made as the machine runs. Static elimination device should be installed in the machine. Usually the braking system is dynamic braking, which is non-touch type braking. ( Non-touch type braking takes longer time than touch type does, especially when full loading with big inertial kinetic energy. It is one of disadvantages of non-touch type.) Mechanical friction braking device is prohibited. The driving belts should be of static elimination.
γγ
In the anti-explosive environment, it should consider to use nitrogen protection. In fact it is only installed with a nitrogen inlet tube and an outlet tube on the machine case. When the machine works, nitrogen will be jetted into the machine inside. However, there is no device to control and measure its concentration. Therefore, the reliability of nitrogen protection is low. Install an oxygen detector associated with the nitrogen protection system to detect the oxygen left in the machine when it runs. Control the amount of oxygen within the safety limit to control the nitrogen amount.
γγ
When ordering the machines, anti-explosion should be raised as the requirement. Meanwhile, customers should request the particular specifications and optional equipment in details, like anti-explosive motor, on-site anti-explosive buttons, static elimination driving belt, frequency converter control, anti-explosive magnetic valve, anti-explosive isolator, dynamic braking, nitrogen protection, oxygen detection system.

All anti-explosion devices and systems will be equipped in all environments required anti-explosion. When ordering machines, it should select and order the proper configuration according to the exact needs of processing and environment.
